Aesthetically enginereed

Like many of you, we care about the things we own. And like you we want those things to be as few, but carefully chosen, as possible. We want to know where they come from, and who is responsible for each part in the process of creating them. This allows us to form a bond to our possessions - to respect them, know their value and treat them with care.

Our name, VERK, is the Swedish term for the end result of one’s work. With it we respectfully wish to reference the dedication, craftsmanship and attention to detail that is required to create a truly special timepiece.

Main content

Passion for craftsmanship

We love the things with which we have history. And the older they become, the more we love them. We believe that creating something of value is a long and often complicated process. That each discipline in that process is the work of an artist, dedicated to their craft.

To honor this, every component is thoughtfully sourced and then carefully assembled into a final piece by skilled hands in the city of Pforzheim, Germany, to become a special object for its wearer. We have such confidence in this process that each VERK watch is delivered with an extended 5 year warranty.

Swedish, minimalist design

We create products for those that wear things with care – a minimalist lifestyle consisting of a few, carefully chosen items. At its core, minimalism is the intentional promotion of the things we value most, and the removal of everything that distracts us from it.

In designing our pieces, we are guided by a philosophy that helps us outline the rules for what we envision as a balanced end product. We find those rules in the natural lines of Scandinavian minimalism supported by an adherence to the Bauhaus school of design, where every detail counts and less is always more. This assures a uniform combination of past and present for a timeless design.

Origins and transparency

One of the main reasons for the existence of VERK is that we seldom could find the origin of the watches we found aesthetically interesting - something we sought to change.

In our search for the right materials and craftsmanship we have been led away from mass production. This in turn has led us to produce our pieces in small, carefully controlled batches with family owned manufacturers drawing upon generations of watch and strap making experience.
